Soy Bean Paste Jjigae (Doenjang) - The Easy Way

Hello, today I'm going to make a doenjang jjigae. This is the Sunchang Mild Doenjang Paste. This soup base with radish, and I have put some anchovy and dry seaweed. And you can just make first the stock. This is a very traditional Korean bean paste doenjang soup. You know? The American people know the miso, but in Korea we call it the doenjang. Doenjang and miso is a little bit different; the miso is very light, but doenjang is very strong and very more delicious.

After you can boil the cold water, and then for start, the radish. After boiling the water, I mean, the stock soup base, you can pull out the pack. In Korean market, you can buy the package like a full stock. And then, we can put some doenjang paste. Maybe one scoop, put in the stock, have one more. I think we have two and half spoon, the basic, but later after you taste, you can put some more. Or if you feel like it's so salty, you can just put some more cold water. After you open the doenjang, you can just be keeping in the refrigerator.

And then, I prepare already the vegetable; the radish, onion, and tofu. And then, I'm going to make today the napa cabbage to the miso soup... Ah. Doenjang jjigae. You can put the radish and tofu. And cabbage you can put first or I want more like more crispy, so you can put later after boiling doenjang jjigae. And I like spicy, so I just make cut jalapenos inside is good frozen. Just put this. This is Gochujang Haechandle Hot Pepper Paste. I'm going to mix with the doenjang paste and then hot pepper gochujang paste together because you can enjoy like almost like the bean taste, I mean, the doenjang jjigae paste, but if you mix together, it's a little bit more spicy and that's good for me. I recommend zucchini or potato, and put some any vegetable. This is very good combination with doenjang jjigae.

Doenjang is one of the essential traditional fermented bean paste, so you can get a lot of the bio stuff that's good for your health. So you can enjoy with white rice, or after you eat the barbecue. In Korea, we eat with rice, and then after finished the barbecue, we enjoy this soup.

I just put a lot, so I'm going to wait one second for the boiling until boil. Then later, I'm going to put the cabbage. You know kimchi, right? So kimchi, we make it with napa cabbage, but kimchi means a specialty. The pickled vegetable, we call the kimchi. So this is just the kimchi, the most popular one, the napa cabbage kimchi.
